After years of slagging each other off in interviews, on social media, and anywhere else somebody happened to leave a microphone, it’s great to see Liam and Noel Gallagher playing nice again. They put their differences aside, got Oasis back together, made it through an entire comeback tour, and have now reached the hugging-on-a-red-carpet stage of their reconciliation. We never thought we’d see the day!
But while the brothers might finally agree on the music, they still have very different ideas about what makes a good jacket. At last night’s London premiere of the new documentary Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger, Liam wore a grail designed for a big night out in the city. Noel, meanwhile, sported something just right for a brisk morning walk in the countryside. If you saw both of them at 6 a.m., Liam would be getting in and Noel would be setting off.
Liam’s jacket was the Skye Ten Anorak by Ten C, an Italian outerwear label founded in 2010 by former C.P. Company designers Alessandro Pungetti and Paul Harvey. It’s made from ultralight, high-tenacity nylon, with parts reinforced using the brand’s hardy Japanese jersey fabric. There’s a massive hood, a very high neck, and several pockets for storing sunglasses, cigs, maracas, and whatever else the man carries around all day.

Liam wore a collaborative Awake NY version of the Skye Ten for Oasis’s first comeback show in Cardiff last summer, before pulling out another one in bright lime the following night. He then spent much of the tour cycling through different color combos, creating so much hype around the previously discontinued design that Ten C eventually brought it back.
When Liam likes a coat, he really likes a coat. For the premiere, he went with a navy version. It was slightly quieter than the ones he’s worn before, but still big, swishy, and recognizably Liam. Noel, meanwhile, wore a brown suede number from Eleventy. Founded in Milan by Marco Baldassari and Paolo Zuntini, the label specializes in very soft, very expensive Italian clothing. This particular jacket is cut from sheep suede, with a clean collar, logo-engraved buttons, and none of the toggles, compartments, or weatherproofing found on Liam’s.
Paired with a denim shirt, jeans, and suede shoes, it was tidy, sensible, and ready for a quick lap of the village to grab the Sunday papers. And there you have it. Liam wants a jacket for dark streets, late finishes, and wherever everyone ends up after the pub shuts. Noel wants one for fresh air, quiet paths, and being home again before lunch. The Gallaghers may have fixed their relationship, but their wardrobes are nowhere close to a reconciliation.
